Still water

The exposure here is a compromise. Bright enough to keep the birds white rather than grey, dark enough to hold the faint colour in the sky and its reflection on the water.

The soft look is the real light, not a filter: the mist lifts within half an hour of sunrise, and the picture goes with it.
