A workhorse zoom, revisited

The 24–70 mm f/2.8 is the lens most professionals reach for first. The current version earns the habit.

A workhorse zoom, revisited

Every camera system has one lens that does most of the work, and for full-frame mirrorless it is this one: wide enough for a room, long enough for a portrait, fast enough for a dim church.

The current design adds stabilisation and a quieter focus motor to the formula. Sharpness is excellent across the frame from f/4, and very good wide open. The size and weight are the price of the aperture.

If you buy one lens, this is the one to buy. If you buy two, the second is further down this page.
